It was a girls night out with my neighbors. We are a group of ladies – all race, age, colors and sizes – love love them all!
A friend had recently posted some pics of El Jefe and it looked interesting. Quickly enquired from her about what she thought of the place and she said that the food was great. Voila – I had a place to go out with my girls! 😀Added bonus – there is a huge parking lot alongside the restaurant- for those of us who hate parallel parking 😜I’m sure all the girls will agree that we had a splendid time.
Here’s a link to the restaurant’s website El Jefe
It was a Sunday and they had a DJ playing some great music. They have large screens all over the restaurant projecting funny videos such has this one…storm trooper dancing to music.
Now let’s get to what we actually went there for – to drink and eat. The drinks were yum! As you can see from the pics here – they even came with a stick of tamarind and tahin which we all loved. Now let’s get to what we actually went there for – to drink and eat. The drinks were yum! My friend’s drink came in a pineapple and was even more interesting. Here it is…
We ordered several starters of which the shrimp ceviche was certainly the best. It came in a stone mortar and was fresh and delish! (Sorry!!! We forgot to take a pic).
I had shrimp in the main course and it was really good. The fried plantains (always a fav) were great too. Here are some pics.

The menu does have quite a few vegetarian options. The pricing for the quality of food is pretty decent too. Over all it was a better than pleasant experience and I will definitely return with my family.
